EYELET + DENIM – the perfect summertime combination in my opinion. I always like mixing something feminine with something more rugged as a rule . . . so pairing a bright white, extra girly eyelet top with a pair of broken-in denim cutoffs is the perfect look. From there you can dress it up with some jewelry and a gold sandal OR go bohemian with a vintage leather belt and a pair of Birkenstocks.

In from Daisy, our resident foodie: Strawberry-Rhubarb SorbetAt the farmers market, blood oranges, lemons, and other citrus are starting to give way to spring’s fruits and vegetables. This week, rows of beautiful ripe strawberries with their deep, ruby-red color and sweet fragrance caught my eye. It’s a perfect time to showcase some in this simple, refreshing sorbet.

I love Good Luck charms . . . and have many, many, many — around my neck, on my wrists, in my house, in my handbag and tucked into my kids backpacks. There are the traditional good luck symbols: horseshoes, pennies, 4-leaf clovers, a wishbone or rabbits foot, even a rainbow. Then there are personal things that I find or see. When I do, I think of them as a sign of luck — a good fortune, the number 7, heart shaped rocks, a feather, a charm . . .
