We always have a great crew on set while shooting Lucky Brand campaigns . . . and one of my favorite people to spend time with is Lisa Storey. She’s responsible for the beautiful makeup you’ve seen on our models for many, many seasons. Her personal style is amazing — her British accent is fantastic & she brings the most beautiful palettes of color to set. This month is all about the summer winding down & squeezing in that last vacation . . . For me, it’s all about family time and heading to two places I’ve visited each summer for as long as I can remember — Lake Tahoe and Canada. The fond memories of these trips have inspired a playlist that hopefully brings a smile to your face and a memory of another time.

Fall is fast approaching & the first collections of the season have just arrived in Lucky stores . . . I have so many new favorites — colorful denim, animal prints and suede . . . not to mention, Riviera Club for Men. We shot on location with photographer Alasdair McLellan, model Magdalena and everyone’s favorite David Gandy. Take a look at a day in the life while on location at the Butterfly House on the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean in Carmel by the Sea.

We spent a morning in the studio with Brian Lotti where he combined his two passion . . . Art & Skateboarding. He first created a super cool abstract painting on a sheet of plywood — layering color upon color in a graphic pattern. The art was then transformed into a skate ramp that Brian & friend Jacob took turns grinding and skating . . . showing off their skills to a cheering crowd.

Capture the vibe of a lazy summer day & have a ‘Dog Day Afternoon’ . . . salt water in your hair, warm suntanned skin, a fresh cocktail, summer breeze, friends and no plans for the rest of the night. The songs are a mix of mesmerizing electronic pop thrown together with some sugary oldies and new favorites — a reminder that it is still summertime and there’s nothing wrong with winding down every now and then.

Meet Brian Lotti – professional skateboarder who is accredited as one of the originators of technical street skating. You can wikipedia Brian (how cool is that?) and learn all about his skating career, signature move The Big Spin and current career as an artist and filmmaker.
We spent a day in studio with Brian as he created one-of-a -kind works of art — block printing Lucky Brand product exclusively for A Lucky Life . . . It was all captured on film in the video E.G.P.D.H. – Every Good Print Deserves Hangtime!
