Last weekend was the first ever BottleRock Music Festival in my own backyard . . . Napa Valley — and the line-up was amazing! Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis kicked off the event on Wednesday night followed by four days of great music featuring The Kings of Leon, The Avett Brothers, Alabama Shakes, Jane’s Addiction, The Black Keys, Zac Brown Band, Train . . . and on, and on, and on . . .
All that great music inspired my May playlist . . . hard to pick a favorite tune but I will say, I loved Michael Franti & Spearhead . . . So, lets start the party with them!

We all have Moms to be thankful for year-round and this weekend, we want to share some of our Lucky moms with you . . .What started with the idea of interviewing my Mom for Mothers Day turned into more when these amazing pictures started coming in from our Lucky HQ & we realized we all have Lucky Genes!

I caught up with Allison Engel, VP of Accessories Design at Lucky Brand, and talked about our obsession with ALL of the pieces in the Amrapali for Lucky jewelry collection. It is the most beautiful, colorful collection I’ve seen anywhere & she was explaining how all of the pieces are handmade (and hand painted ) by artisans in India . . . wait till you see the detail — it is truly incredible and so is she!

This playlist was inspired by our latest photo shoot in NYC . . . The music, photographer Mario Sorrenti had playing throughout the day, was a mix of old classics & some extra groovy new tunes. Amazing how songs from the past can sound so fresh & good again. This playlist (like most of my others) is a mash up of just that . . . old & new. Hope you like . . .

In case you didn’t see the WWD article last Thursday here it is . . .We shot Lucky Brands Fall 2013 Ad Campaign last week in NYC. As you will read, it was a chance for Matt Berman (our Creative Director) to catch up & collaborate again with photographer Mario Sorrenti. You will have to wait a few months to see the final images of Missy Rayder and David Gandy living the American Dream (let’s just say it will be worth the wait).
