For me, heading into the wild means escaping LA city life and all that comes along with it- traffic, crowds, and the everyday grind. I am a huge fan of spontaneous trips and exploring new places where Wi-Fi reception may not exist. Whether I’m jumping into a car or hopping on a plane, I’m always up for an adventure!

When it comes to conquering your next adventurous trip, there are definitely some must-haves to bring along. As far as styling, denim will always reign supreme. I travel with a denim jacket everywhere I go because it’s the perfect weight, great for layering, and goes with pretty much everything. I know what you’re thinking- is denim on denim a good look? Um, yes! One of my forever favorites. Pair with a knit sweater or knotted tee for an easy, cool girl look. And of course you need boots. I’m obviously partial to the little black variety but any shade will do. Try to keep the heel height under two inches because there’s no time to complain that your feet hurt! Lastly, I always make sure to pack a polaroid printer with extra film. The nostalgia for physical photos is so real. Plus, they are so darn cute

I loved my looks but I definitely had some favorites, including the black overalls and black skinny jeans. The fits were amazing and beyond comfortable. I also really loved the black buckle boots. I could have walked in those for hours and been blister free! Not surprisingly, my favorite piece was the denim jacket with the sherpa collar. It’s chic, versatile, and begs to tag along on the next road trip.

One of my favorite trips that I’ve been on was backpacking through Costa Rica. I remember hiking through a rainforest barefoot and ending it with climbing up a waterfall. I wish at this point I could tell you all about how I jumped off the top of the waterfall but alas, I cannot. I will however take credit for fully documenting my boyfriend’s leap. A trip where very little was planned and each day was a complete question mark. It was perfect.
