I always try to pack as lightly as possible for any trip . . . one carry-on only. BUT, there is always extra pressure when I’m packing for Fashion Week in NYC — especially in February when the temperatures are frigid but the fashion is hot. Here is a peek at a few things I took with me last week . . . these items, my Alexander Wang handbag and some great boots — equals perfection. I was comfortable and just cool enough to breeze in & out of shows at Lincoln Center . . . thanks Lucky Brand for making packing so easy!

Chan Luu Scarf  For the plane & on the streets . . . nothing keeps me more warmly accessorized than my throw-on Chan Luu Scarf.

Headphones  Harman/Kardon always on hand . . . the key for calls, listening to the latest shazam download or watching movies on the flight.

Irving & Fine Embroidered Peasant Top  Our latest collaboration with Irving & Fine left me wanting more. The thoughtful and timeless embroidery takes carefully stitched pieces from basic to a striking boho must-have. The embroidered peasant top with blue stitching keeps winding up in my bag. shop now →

Moleskine Notebooks  Whether it’s for writing, working or doodling, I always have a Moleskine notebook handy.

Delfonics Pen  Fine point and functional, it’s fair to say a pen could be considered one of my most prized possessions.

RTH pouch  I’m always armed with business cards tucked away in my cute, simple, RTH pouch.

Beauty  Now for the real must-haves . . . SkinCeuticals Serum 20 (a healthy dose of vitamin C for the face), Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve (key word, youth . . . smells delicious too), and of course Chanel Glossimer (Giggle and Plaiser are my go to colors now).

Canon EOS 60D Camera I never know what is going to influence and inspire, which is why I always feel safe when strapped to my Canon camera.

Awesome tips. I am always traveling back and forth from school in Ohio to home in NY, so I have tried to master light packing as well. I have found that making sure you pick a smaller suitcase really keeps you from overpacking! Also, I like how you kept true to the weather, that makes it alot easier to make sure you don’t pack things you won’t use or need.

Great tips, I ALWAYS over pack and it is such an annoyance as half the things I carry around on a trip rarely get used. Thanks for the insight x
