Lucky Brand Fall 2012 Make-up Lisa Storey

-

We always have a great crew on set while shooting Lucky Brand campaigns . . . and one of my favorite people to spend time with is Lisa Storey. She’s responsible for the beautiful makeup you’ve seen on our models for many, many seasons. Her personal style is amazing — her British accent is fantastic & she brings the most beautiful palettes of color to set. I took a few minutes to speak with her about her career and some of her favorite beauty products. . . Take a look.

Lisa Storey Favorite Make-up ProductsWhere are you from? The UK

Tell me about your career. What inspired you to become a makeup artist?

The club scene in London – going out and seeing the beauty, the flamboyance. There was inspiration everywhere. It was fascinating. My boyfriend was a DJ so we would really dress up to go out. So extreme, it was the 80’s. It was fantastic!

A few beauty questions . . .

Favorite Moisturizer? Avene from France

Favorite Lip Gloss? for work — Stila in Praline; for me– Chanel glossimer 159 -Petillant & 164-Plaisir

Favorite Mask? SKII Moisture Mask, by shisheido

Favorite Mascara? Dior or Loreal Voluminous  – Carbon Black

Any beauty tricks you swear by?

Yes, keep a cucumber in the refrigerator . . . when you are feeling a little bit tired or puffy grate the cucumber and pack it on your face and eyes. Wait 15 minutes and rinse, you will have an instant glow.

How do you stay grounded?

In this business everyday is something new…to clear my mind before a busy day I listen to chanting in my car…it gives me a clean palette for the day.

 Any last words . . .

“drinking lots of water and being a nice person makes you beautiful”
