More S’mores

-
The debut of our new resident foodie: Daisy — bringing new spins on the American classics we all love. Enjoy! This summer, whether you’re camping in the woods or hanging out in your backyard — give s’mores another try. While there is no replacing the classic recipe that’s in our hearts, this time, why not put a fancy spin on it?
We all have our childhood memories of making s’mores, America’s best-loved campfire treat. My brother and I still laugh about the time he chased me around the campfire with a flaming marshmallow at the end of his skewer. Who among us hasn’t roasted the perfect marshmallow – lightly browned on the outside and soft on the inside – only to have it fall to the ground as you try to get if off the skewer? This time around . . .experiment, have fun and make new memories with your family and friends!

No, no — the perfect marshmallow is burned to a crisp and molten inside: those “golden brown” ones are only half-done (but I’ve never burned any flavored ones).
BROKE THE MOUTH (Hawaiian for tastes sooooo good)
Thanks for your happy, easy ideas and great pictures, Daisy – look forward to more! Emma.
