We all need as much good luck as we can get. That’s why you should always keep an eye out for any type of lucky charm — I found these horseshoes yesterday (tags included) — I couldn’t resist! . . . but do you know about horseshoe lore? read on to find out . . .
When kept as a talisman, a horseshoe is said to bring good luck. Many believe that to hang it with the ends pointing upwards is good luck as it acts as a storage container of sorts for any good luck that happens to be floating by, whereas to hang it with the ends pointing down, is bad luck as all the good luck will fall out. However, others believe that by hanging the shoe downward, it’s luck will be released to the people around it.
I spotted this eclectic bunch of horseshoes collecting good luck at the home of famous poet, Robinson Jeffers . . . A magical place in Carmel, California.
Tell us, where have you spotted good luck?
